I’m Gena (pronounced “Jenna”) and bring a long history in food. I grew up with sheep, goats, chickens, horses, dogs, numerous barn cats, and amazing culinary role models. I worked for years on vegetable farms, then in Latin America on food access issues, conservation in the Amazon Basin, added-value products, and most recently with livestock farmers in southern New England. I’m also an Adjunct Lecturer at Endicott College School of Nursing.
Nutrition came into focus after many frustrating and fruitless visits to doctors, I began researching nutrition when my first child experienced severe eczema which we ultimately healed through the GAPS diet and traditional nutrition. As the whole family began changing our habits, amazing things happened- eczema cleared up, excess weight was lost, brain fog disappeared, the energy was restored. Since then, I’ve been a firm believer in the benefits of a traditional diet, and haven’t been able to stop researching!
A Holistic Nutrition Consultant and the Boston chapter leader for the Weston A. Price Foundation, I trained in traditional foods cooking with widely respected Chef Monica Corrado. One size certainly does not fit all, and I will help you find the right balance to meet both your nutrition and lifestyle needs.

I hold a BA from UMASS Amherst and a MA from Universidad Torcuato di Tella, Argentina. I’ve lived and traveled around most of Latin America and now live in Boston, MA with my husband and three children. We travel and eat fantastic food as much as we can.
